Ayutthaya - ancient city of ruins

Ayutthaya was the ancient capital of Siam from 1350 to 1767. The city is located about 85km north of Bangok, at the confluence of 3 rivers; Chao Phaya, Pa Sak & Lopburi rivers. After a long period of conflicts, it was sacked by the Burmese in 1767 that brought it to ruins. The Ayutthaya Historical Park is listed as a World Heritage site.
